Is it normal to lose weight quickly the first month and then begin to slow down especially if you added exercise to your routine?

Yes, I lost four pounds a week the first two weeks, then it went to 3 the next week. I am averaging 2.2 pounds a week now. Last week (week 9 of my journey), I lost just .8.
Very normal, expected even.0 -
It's completely normal. Most people see a large and immediate drop in weight at the beginning due to the loss of water weight. Fat loss occurs at a much slower rate. Additionally, the introduction of exercise causes the muscles to retain water in order to heal and protect themselves from the new strain, which can make weight loss slower as well.0

Yes it is normal to lose more weight when you first start out because you've made major changes in your caloric in take and possibly in other areas. Not really sure about the excercise--it's different for everyone. I know when I incorporate excercise, I lose MORE weight--some people either "maintain" or gain (muscle). It may depend on the type of excercise and your body.0
