Hi & Holiday Approaches?

Hi Everyone,

I joined MFP on October 30th and have lost about 5 pounds since then - I'm 5'6 with a goal weight of 140 (currently 160lbs.). At my heaviest I was 210 last November just before giving birth to my first daughter (I weighed 160lbs. before pregnancy so I'm back where I started so to speak). So, I've been making great progress, but still have a bit to go. On October 30th I also began working with a nutritionist who placed me on a 1400-calorie diet. I've enjoyed reading your posts and wanted to introduce myself.

Also, do any of you have any particular approaches that you've used or will use during the holidays to control portion sizes while still enjoying yourself (and maybe a piece of pumpkin pie)? These last few weeks it's really started to hit home that I can still enjoy treats just in much smaller sizes than I used to, and it's still good, but I am a little worried about the bigger meals (and all of the choices to select from) during the holiday season...
