I tried starting my diet with 1200 calories, which went fine for 2 weeks, and then when I decided to start exercising I would get lightheaded at random times thru out the day. I read up and upped my calories to 1500, my BMR is 1550, some days I make it and somedays I do not. I used to be a very bad binge eater, I wouldn't eat for days and then I would eat none stop. So just eating 3 meals a day is good for me considering what has been happening to my body the last 10 years. I average between 1100-1450 on most days depending on the workouts. I don't think I over do it, but if you could look at my diary and give me a little advice on what I could be doing different, as far as calories, good alternatives snacks etc. That would be awesome. Wondering if maybe I'm eating a bit too much sweet fruits and screwing everything up.

Your diary looks good...highly jealous of the steak & beer. HA. If you are getting light headed when exercising, be sure you are eating within an hour before exercising and drinking at least a glass of water before you workout as well. I always try to drink water before I head to the gym, overall hydration is key. Maybe try to incorporate more healthy (mono % poly saturated) fats into your diet...like avocado, nuts, olive oil, etc0

One of my snacks are reserved for after my workouts, and I drink water alllllll day. I get lightheaded almost drunk feeling between meals or when I haven't eaten in about an 2 hours or so. Will try to incorporate more mono poly saturated fats into diet.....JUST NO AVOCADO unless it's in my guacamole....LOL Thanks for the tips, I really do appreciate it.0

Well if you can eat the guac you can eat straight avocado .. Just saying A good low fat guac is a few slices of avocado and Tlbsp og hot sauce mix. ...
Or just straight avocado and lemon juice is good together.0 -
It might be worth having your blood pressure and iron levels checked.Your blood sugars shouldn't drop so low to cause light-headedness within 2 hours. You have protein with your meals which lengthen digestion times and helps to maintain sugar spikes.0

Was talking to my husband earlier, and he recommended the same thing. I'm making a Doc appt next week, to see if they can run some tests to see what is going on. I've never had a problem with my BP, but while pregnant they put me on iron pills so maybe that is my culprit. We shall see. Thanks for the advice guys and gals0
