Well, as you know that some MFPs have an eating disorder and they have friends that have them too, usually they're underaged. When I wasn't recovering I had an an account, my friends where healthy but most had an eating disorder. (course I didn't support them starving themselves but, ya know having friends that are in the same boat)

I've seen girls on here (some under 18 some over) that would eat healthy then I see that they start getting lower and lower

Honestly it isn't really the ED girls fault but I mean it's triggering

Also the ones that are pro-anorexia -___- I hate them

They would tell girls they eat too much, or that they're too fat.

Part of the reason why they shouldn't be on this app if they're under 18 but also because they're easily influenced

But if you are doing this the right way and underage I support you

But I just hate watching girls kill themselves slowly :( I wish I didn't start

And sometimes you can get a calorie obsession (I call it that :p) if I don't know how many calories are in it I can't eat it

Opinions?

This is how my ED started. Everybody knows that ED's have little to do with actual weight loss and much more to do with control and self-esteem.. depression or trauma.. etc. I don't blame MFP or any of my old friends, because I used to go to tumblr to get that same kind of 'ED girl' motivation. MFP and calorie counting gave the me the means to start over-controlling my intake and start obsessing over my weight and body and every single morsel of food that entered my mouth. I agree that it's sad to see many pro-ED girls (and even some guys!) on MFP. Surely they were here before, but they seem so more predominant these days. :(
