Does anyone else have a problem with these?

I see these things every once in awhile in my house. And every time, I just about jump out of my skin. They look like a :devil: bug from hell. I swear, these are the most disgusting looking creatures I have ever seen. I have been trying to resist the urge to run after and stomp them every time I see them because I have read that they are actually beneficial (they eat EVERY other kind of bug, but leave furniture/food/clothes alone)

But still.... I shiver just at the thought of them...

    We have big millipedes. I guess that is what they are. I am sorry, beneficial or not, I have my dog Nitro eat them. He is a professional exterminator. My dog Tuesday can snap a fly right out of the air. I figure they save me about $40 a month in pest control fees.

    In Vegas, there aren't many bugs, but every now and then I get a fly or a cricket... my cats chomp 'em for me!

    When I lived in Italy, we had something - sounds like what your describing - never identified them! Extremely fast little guys. I feel for you, I couldn't stand them!!

    oh man I hope i don't run into those!!!!::grumble:

    Technically, the house centipede could bite, but it is considered harmless to people. They Eat SPiders!!! that definitely helps... instead of 8 legs they have 15! I guess we just can't win....
