Btw. I found (and made) an absolutely wonderful!! breakfast recipe this morning. Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal.
I know what my reaction was.... yeahhh, fat bomb straight to the hip. Ha.
Well anyways... this particular recipe is 300 calories, 34 carbs, 12 g.fat, 9 g.protein, 7 g.fiber, and 3 g.sugar. (I like to eat a filling breakfast with as much protein as possible in the morning so I added some liquid eggs, sweet peppers, sausage, extra lean ham, jalepeno, and some roma tomato on the side.)
So you use....
1/2 cup of oats .... (I used Western Family 100% natural oatmeal)
1 Tablespoon of cocoa powder ..... (used Hershey's natural unsweetened powder)
1 Tablespoon of peanut butter ...... (used Skippy Natural Peanut Butter Creamy w/honey)
1 cup of water
Bring water to slight boil and slowly, constantly stir in oats. Once you get your desired oatmeal texture, add your cocoa powder and peanut butter!!!
I also added several drips of some natural sucralose ( 0 cal 0 carb 0...everything else) or you can use Truvia sugar (0 cal low carb) to sweeten this wonderful mix.
Just thought I'd share my beginning delightful discoveries (:

Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely going to try it! I PB!
Also, if you haven't heard of this frozen treat! Here's a sweet low cal pb/banana ice cream.
1 or 2 FROZEN bananas - (must be frozen...not thawed, nor cold and not to ripe...perfect yellow)
1 tsp of creamy Peanut butter (I prefer natural or lite)
1/2 tsp of coca powder (dark, milk or even nutella) - Optional.
Combine all the above ingredients into a blender, serve immediately.
*You can also add fresh berries on top with some lite coolwhip!
Low cal favorite of mine0 -
Does sound delicious actually! I will try it.0

I bet it'd be good with chia seeds too although I'd probably use soy or almond milk.0

I think I've tried just about every variation of oatmeal on the planet, but never chocolate. Chocolate with oatmeal scares me lol. Oatmeal and PB is awesome though. Maybe I'll attempt to get over my fear sometime in the near future.0

That's my favorite PB. I also like PB&Company Chocolate PB Dreams. Makes it really easy to do choco pb oatmeal.0
