I dont think those values you have recorded are correct. One egg will have about 6-8 g fat, and around teh same of protein.

Don't trust everything in the database!

What I do is egg beaters. I am really not a fan of eggs to begin with but egg beaters have 30 cal per "egg" 1/4c. And I think it taste much better. But that is my opinion.

Simple: the nutritional information is completely inaccurate. A hard-boiled egg (large) has 5 grams of fat, 2 grams of saturated fat, but 212 mg of cholesterol. The info you have is also completely misstating the amount of protein in an egg.

Look again in the database for hard-boiled eggs. There is one (I think it doesn't have a star next to it) that has a whole bunch of measurements (1 cup chopped, one whole egg, by weight, etc.).

I totally mis read your post i am sorry, however i typed in the database Eggs - Hard-boiled (whole egg), 1 large and it was only 5 for protein...i would just make sure that you see how many are confirmed* in the database.

From now on just eat the egg whites. That will cut down on a lot of the fat as well. Not that there's a lot there.

    Why eat only egg whites??

Eat the whole egg, its good for you! All of it!

Mix it up and make yourself some scrambled eggs with chicken sausage and broccoli chopped in....mmmm!

Lots of good protein, green veg and filling. And yes the others are right about the fat content, make sure you pick one thats correct.
    Bottomline.... Enjoy eggs!

*Edited to add.... 1200 cals...? Too low I'm sure....

Thankyou so much for all your comment, I have taken each and every one on board, I have to admit I had no idea what an egg beater was though ha ha x

I had heard that the yellow bit wasnt too good for you, but is still ate they all, mabe next time ill try something new, I am a busy mum so my food is boring, I never have time to make fancy food : ( just a boring old egg.

I am going to have another look at the egg thing and see if I can correct it on my food diary x
