Goal weight is between sizes!

Ok, here is my problem, my goal weight of 120 is between sizes. I don't like how I look at 125 and I am very happy with how I look at 120 and dont think I will like how I look below (too scrawny imo). The problem is a 6 falls down and a 4 is a bit too tight. It really upsets me that there is such a difference between the two sizes! So now I have to lose a few pounds more than I want just so I can buy clothes that fit! By the way I am 5'3" and I do strength train. Looking for advice and support.

Thanks for listening

OH, I feel your frustration… my answer is to buy the size closest and just have it altered to fit me. So I am buying fewer higher quality clothes!

Have you tried a few different brands? I find that there can be half a size difference (sometimes more) between different clothing brands when the labels say they should be the same size.

    Thanks PKW.

I have tried a couple different brands, yes. There is a difference for sure. I'm a jeans and t shirt kind of gal for the most part and I find the quality of the jeans at American Eagle to be better than anywhere else I've tried so I always like to buy them there. I'm so sick of going other places and buying expensive paper thin jeans that fall art :(

Then stick with the size that allows you to fit into your american eagle jeans. :)

do you want to change your body composition any more than you have or are you staying as you are?

the reason i ask is that i have been at maintenance for nearly a year, but i am still changing shape and have lost another size on my bottom half even though my weight has gone up as i am losing bodyfat... so you might not stay the same size if you dont want to?

I buy my jeans at Target and they last me pretty long, despite my thighs rubbing together all day! :) Maybe try there?

    This.

There's no way you can't find something that fits. I can fit perfectly into a certain size in one brand and not be able to get that same size over my hips in another. It also varies between styles and even different colors of the same exact style. I'm thinking you haven't really looked very much.

I buy Old Navy jeans and they're way cheaper than AE and they last.

Isn't that what the junior sizes are for? Have you tried them? You may have to try on different sizes than you're used to (you might be a 5 a 4). But give it a whirl.

Also, different manufacturers have very different sizes. You may just need a new fit or style.

Thanks for all the ideas. I am going to try junior sizes at Hollister. I believe they carry 3,5,7 etc. Anyone bought jeans there before? What was the quality like?

We don't have target in Canada yet and aren't getting any until 2013 :(

My life would be so sad without Target! LOL The brand is Mossimo. Maybe you can order them online or find them at a different store?

And I'm not sure about Hollister. When that store came out, I was too big to fit into their jeans. LOL

I think they sell that brand at Zellers, who coincidently is being bought out by Target lol :) I can't wait for it to be converted though! So excited!

I've never been small enough to wear anything from there personally, but I know my sister's Hollister clothes are really nice.
