Breaking a Plateau by Running a 5K?

So I've been absolutely stuck for about 2 months. I would call it a plateau simply because I have still, for the most part, been eating healthy and below my needed level to maintain my weight but I have had an absolutely crazy summer and just kind of quit actually working out. Monday I stepped on the scale and got kind of pissed off, I decided I am done sitting at this weight it is time to break though and cut my calories back down and started working out every night...for two whole days Then yesterday I saw that my company has a team for the Susan Komen 5K in October and emailed my husband about running in it....Now the pressure is on. Last time I trained for a 5K the weight dropped off like it was nothing, I'm hoping the same thing happens this time, and that I can keep running. I am not a runner, in fact I despise it but it seems like running is really the only cardio that has this level of effect on me. So here is my plan for the next 51days 3 days per week couch to 5K, 2 days per week 30 day shred, and 1 day per week yoga. What do you think, will I be able to get ready for the 5 K and break my plateau in the process???

I think so! C25k is definitely helpful! Just be sure to stick with it and repeat a week if you feel it's needed!!! Good luck!0

I started C25K and it broke my plateau. (though I suspect 30 day shred is what started my plateau). I hate running too, but it really seems to be working. Good luck! At least it's for a really good cause. well, 2 causes Komen and your health.0
