Nighttime eating ... help!!!!

I think I might have been less than clear about the totals.
If I eat my MFP totals (the guidelines the website gave me), I find I'm gaining weight.
So I'm trying to eat totals I set myself (1500 cal/day, 25 fat, and as much protein as I can get into myself), which in the past have resulted in weight loss.
Those are the totals I'm having trouble maintaning.
I feel like sugars trap me at every turn.
Why? I love fruit, and eating a lot of it keeps my sweet tooth in check.
But ... the it zooms the sugar totals way out there.
Aren't there any fruits that don't sugar one to the max?
