Walking

Hi there - I have lost 28 pounds in 6 weeks, and all I have done is eat healthy and walk 45 minutes everynight.
Ive been very blessed thus far and would like to add something to my walking routine. I start out slowly and power walk for the last 30 minutes, any ideas on what I might be able to add to my workout, while out at night? Im a tiny bit embarrased to jog...

Walk faster or longer, or find a area with more hills. Add lunges, squats, pushups, situps at the end of routine.0

I vote hills. They will add MUCH more to the calorie burn than upping the speed a tiny bit to jogging.
Find a trail nearby that you can enjoy and walk it for 45 to 60 minutes. Clear your head and enjoy nature with a little bit of extra oomph from the hills.
And yes, downhill also will provide benefits too! Ask any runner how they feel about flat ground vs downhill, they'll surely inform you about the difficulty of downhill.
So, yes, HILLS!
To the hills!
The hills are alive, with the sound of music...0 -
Carry hand weights and swing your arms big.0
