Confused about protein shakes - isolate / concentrate ?

In the last few weeks I've started doing press ups with a good amount of ab work (crunches / flutter kicks / Bicycle crunches / Reverse crunches) each day.
I've never had a protein drink in my life, but would really like to up my daily protein % which is possibly ~15% (* it's hard to tell as a lot of my diary entries have no dietary info).
I'm aiming for more of a Bruce Lee shape rather than Schwarzenegger. Basically don't want to gain loads more muscle, just tone and improve my existing figure. More agility than strength lets say.
So far all I've been recommended to aim for is whey protein isolate (or soy isolate or egg based), and avoiding concentrate (or isolate-concentrate blends).
I can pick up Sci-mx / USN rather conveniently at just my local Tesco, but I'm not opposed to going to a sports shop or somewhere like Holland and Barrett for something possibly better.
After a very brief search I've found three so far (two which appear to be concentrate / isolate-concentrate):
* Sci-mx - Build & Trim Whey Protein (concentrate) - Per 30g = 114kcal / 20g protein
* USN - 100% Whey Protein (isolate-concentrate blend) - Per 34g = 136kcal / 24g protein
* Maximuscle - Promaxdiet (blend of Whey Protein Isolates, Hydrolysates and Whey Peptides) - Per 60g = 228kcal / 37.8g protein
Can anyone steer me in the right way? (+ what results should I expect from them)
Cheers :drinker:

Just a bump in case anyone can advise or finds this lonely thread..
Found out there's a GNC shop literally two doors down from where I work!
After doing a bit more research I ordered three sample sachets of Optimum Nutrition - Gold Standard 100% Whey in double chocolate, strawberry and vanilla creme. 24g protein per 29.4g scoop, based on this spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0Ag9uT-E4EIL7dFZPZnR0WVZybGtFWnRKNzdKNm9XOVE#gid=0 it appears to be pretty accurate in its content.
Tried a third of each last night after my workout with just water to see which was the tastiest flavour.
I have to say they mix in water very well, very smooth indeed and all three tasted great. I can imagine they would be even better with skimmed or almond milk instead.
Im usually a strawberry guy but out of the three the chocolate is definitely the nicest. It also seems like a good option to use with cooking.0 -
soy will give you gyno and male pattern baldness as well as low sex drive because it produces estrogen in your body. I refuse to sell protein or any products to a big box store because they want me to change my ingredients. Egg white protein is the most complete protein sorce available. Full of bcaa. Check the sodium in the protien the size of the scoop reveals how much filler and crap is in the product. Is it sweetened with high fructose corn syrup or sugar sucralose? the best is Stevia ..................how do I know all this ? i am a nutritional specialist,I own Benitez labs i make protein and natural supplements. I also own Flawless Science www.flawlessscience.com you can google it as well and see it is me.0
