Hi all. In my third week of training for the Disney Princess Half in February. Each weekend doing longer runs outside, my question to you...do you sport a water belt on long runs? And where do you put your keys?? :noway:

I don't run long enough to need one yet. As far as a key...my phone armband has a little pocket for a key. Otherwise most exercise pants/shorts have a media pocket you could probably put it in.0

I bought a camelbak for long runs, I didn't like the belt cuz it starts to sag almost immediately and it bounces when you run. It's such a pain.0

I actually just bought a running belt last month for my longer runs and it's awesome. My iphone, a couple of keys, ID, money, and credit card all fit perfectly.
It's awesome not having to wear an arm band for my ipod either.
http://www.ifitnessinc.com/ Check this site out. You can buy attachments for it as well. I haven't gotten the water bottles yet but it's definitely on the to-do list. I always thought people looked ridiculous wearing them until I ran a 5 mile race on the 4th of July when it was 100 degrees. I was pretty jealous at that point!0 -
I am training for a half and am up to 10 miles (11 this weekend), and I just carry a small 8 oz hand held bottle. I don't always drink it all. I run early in the morning, so it is not hot, and I make sure I am extremely well hydrated the day before. I didn't start carrying water until I got to about 8 or 9 miles. My bottle has a small pocket in it.0

Only on runs over 16 miles, and even then only if the temperature is over 85°F.0

If it's really hot outside then I run indoors, I don't own a water carrying device for running and I probably never will. I take my key off my keyring and loop it around a finger and carry it.
I've trained for half marathons before and never felt like I needed one but it's really personal preference.0
