I'm from the UK and my husband's from the USA. We have conversations like this:

him: *knocks on bathroom door* Are you in the tub?
me: no, I'm in the bath. The ice cream is in the tub in the freezer.

me: do you like my new jumper?
him: that's not a jumper, that's a sweater. This is a jumper: *jumps up and down*

    him: (mentions "sidewalk")
me: that's not a sidewalk, that's a pavement. This is a sidewalk: *walks sideways*

The best one though was when he laughed at me for using the word "skew-whiff" and refused to believe it was a word, then laughed even more when I showed him it in the dictionary. Then five minutes later he described something as being "kitty-corner". It was my turn to laugh and refuse to believe him that it was a word....

    and this is football: PfVPA.jpg

Especially that last one made me LOL!!!

Are we counting the Aussies yet? There are lots of us here, but we don't say much - we're the shy, retiring ones!!! LOL.

It has been too many hours without someone posting from the US so here goes:

US here - Florida (Hot and Humid)

Love the UK though, more the idea since I have never been. I have always been a sucker for old structures and being able to stand in places with history, something about know that the only thing that separates you from an event is time and not space. Of course I live in Florida where the oldest structures are about 100 years old so pretty young. Hopefully at some point I will be able to spend some time and live in the UK for a short stint.

It does seem that a lot of the members on these forums are from the US, but it also seems that the UK people are very active as I see them a lot more often when I work through the forums. In fact I only have two MFP friends right now both in the UK.
