Slowly changing how i approach my diet

The worst days for me are when I am in restaurants in meetings on week days. Before tonight I had never been to an Italian restaurant and walked out without consuming probably 2000 calories, maybe more with wine. Tonight I ate the same foods except I totaled less than 1000. I ate less for lunch and knew i would be exercising tonight so splurged a bit and came in 565 calories lower for the day. Next meal like that my goal would be 800 or less. i didn't get to my overweight situation doing extreme things so i am taking my time getting back down. In general though this site is making me stick to this goal I have set for myself. I hope to keep it up. so far two weeks, so far so good!!!
