For those puzzled by the BUMP

"BUMP"ing a message is just internet slang for keeping a message at the front of a message board. As I'm sure many already know, our board's setup isn't unique in that new replies bring the message back up to the top. Over the years, people on the internet developed the "BUMP" to bring attention to messages they feel others should read or re-read.

So if you read a post and feel like it deserves more time up top, BUMP it. It's considered a mild compliment to the poster, and keeps people from having to go find the post later if they want to refer to it.

Aww, cmon guys. This post is just CRYING out to be BUUUUUUUMMMPPPEED.

Note that people tend to be creative in their bumping. Often people try to outdo each other with interesting phrases. (notice the shameless peddling of my own post.)

helllllllooooo? Lorelai????? Are you in there? I lived in Lake Tahoe and had that "Where's my house?" fear a couple times after some truly impressive snowfalls. I didn't get my truck dug out for over a month one winter.

Keep smiling, and watch movies with palm trees.........:explode: I send you the "Exploding Head" emoticon so maybe it will blast away some of the snow for you. Avalanche control :laugh:
