Help with a Ham!!
Hi MFP'ers,
I have to bring a Ham to Thanksgiving dinner. :noway: I'm not a good cook I bought one of those "Spiral-Cut" Honey Ham at the super market this weekend and all it has is a packet of Brown sugar. Is that it? Throw it in the oven and spread this contents in the package? that sounds too easy  I know you lovely Ladies and Gentlemen have some "secret Ham ingredients" so share with me. It doesn't matter if your "secret" isn't low-calorie. I really need this to come out Finger-Linkin Good... this is a friend's house I'm bringing this to and don't want to myself.
Your replies and assistance are welcomed and appreciated. :flowerforyou:

That's it. Read the directions--I usually use my enclosed turkey roaster put a little water in the bottom and cook it. Then the last few minutes you spread the glaze over the top, then cook uncovered. The stuff that comes with the hams I buy smells like wassail. Covering it for most of the cooking makes it very juicy. Good luck!!:flowerforyou:0

All I ever use is brown sugar or honey and sub pineapple juice for the water, place a few slices of pineapple on top, cover and bake. If you bought a honey baked spiral ham, it's probably already flavored, so you would just heat and eat0

Those are the type of hints I need. I would have left it uncovered.0 -
