I know it's hard, but stick with it and you will be able to look at that first day and go...wow! look how far I have come! :flowerforyou:0

I'm starting week 2 this afternoon!! (Actually restarting. I got injurred and started back with week 1 after a 2-week long break.) I agree that 60 secs of jogging and 90 secs of walking is harder than it sounds. I couldn't do it when I first tried. I backed off and created a step before week 1. I did 60 secs of running and 3 mins of walking for a week. After that, I was ready to start!! Congrats on breaking the plateau!! I'm sure C25K will help with those last 20 lbs.0

You're going to love it! Whatever happens, stick with it. :flowerforyou: It doesn't matter if you have to repeat a week, repeat a day- doesn't matter. As silly as it sounds, Couch to 5k changed my life! :blushing:0

Good luck! I'm on Week 4 and love it as well. It even motivated me enough to take the dog jogging...in public where anyone driving by could see my jiggle...AHH!0

ooh i've been wanting to start the C25k but everyone else is so advanced already I didnt' know where to turn. So I think I'm a go ahead and start today if you wanna team up and do this together.
Can you send me ur running program or the website you got it from, just to make sure we are on the same page0 -
you will get there. I did the c25k about 2 months ago and I am doing my first 5k race on the 5th Dec. when you get to the point when you wanna quit, just tell your mind not too...or crank a good tune on your ipod. It helps me everytime. It made me get to running 30 min without stopping...good luck!!!!!!0

I just googled c25k and clicked on the links until i found a chart.. lol.. then i wrote it down.. so im not sure exactly what the site is.. but i think thats it =] message me when you find it =]0 -
Oh yeah!
Like others, I had to create a step before I could start week 1 & did a week of jogging 60 seconds, walking 120 seconds.
I started week 1 Thursday and finished w1d3 yesterday. I'm a little nervous about starting week 2 this Thursday, but I'm just going to go for it.
Glad to find some people who are at the beginning. It's a little hard to relate to folks who are so many weeks ahead.
The website is http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
Scroll down and the training program is on that page (don't click the icon, it will take you to sign up for the online tracking which costs $19.99).0 -

I second this! C25K has made me find my runner potential. I am addicted to running now. I'd rather run every day than anything else, except I don't want to injure myself so I don't let running be an everyday occurrence. I have two more days of Week 8, then I am on to 30 minute runs! :happy:0 -
thnx for the website Jb123 - thats what I had originally thought it was.
Jazzy - umm still didnt start it yet but will try to fit it in tomorrow morning. Dang it!0 -
Hi everyone,
I actually looked up the C25K today, and I can't wait to start. I am recovering from a blood clot in my leg so it may take me a little longer to complete, but I'm glad I found a group that has recently started.
I was also able to find C25K podcasts, which will let you know when to switch intervals...check it out at http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts
You can download the weekly podcasts for free...I will attempt day 1 on Monday..
Happy Thanksgiving everyone0
