MY Polar FT4 has a low battery after 2 months?!

I got my HRM end of June and it already has a low battery signal and I've only had it a short time. I don't use the beep or backlight, and have been taking care of it properly. Has anyone else had this problem with theirs? Obviously I can just replace the battery but since that's weird anyway it'd be low after 2 months I'm just wondering if I should just send it in, or if it's just a fluke and I should get a new battery and problem solved. Does anyone know if they are easy to replace? This is my first HRM so I don't know much about these things. Thanks for any opinions!

Huh, that's odd. The battery in the watch part is very easy to replace (just did it myself a month or so ago) and the batteries are pretty cheap. I haven't had to replace the one in the transmitter yet but from what I can tell, that looks like it'll be pretty easy to do as well.0
