I'll be thrilled, shocked, surprised, ecstatic if I can see 140.__ on the sixth week. I don't even care if it's 140.9. Then I can work on the next 5 lb for the next challenge. Slow and steady...

Lorna, that would be a wonderful accomplishment for you, especially with Thanksgiving tomorrow (unless you're north of the border, then you have already weathered that storm). Hopefully our slow and steady progress means it will stay off for good. Actually I feel pretty good about the impending feast. I feel more in control now. I'm wishing you "140something" next Tuesday.:flowerforyou:

Wowzers!! Look at all the people who have joined the sixers in the last few months!!! I love coming here and seeing that some of you guys have made such huge changes! CONGRATS!!!

I haven't really been using the site much because I just haven't had the time to be at the computer. That's not really going to change, but I wanted to say hi! Keep up the good work!

Thanks Susan. And thank you so much for this group. It has really kept me more motivated than I've been in awhile. I won't be having the heavy meal tomorrow like everyone else as I will be working. My downfall is my wonderful chef of a husband who is an absolutely foodie and loves to keep my belly happy. I wanted to be 135 by my 35th (on Saturday), but the fact that I'm going down slowly and steady finally, and have the end of the challenge and the next one to look forward to, I'm pretty happy.

I hope you all have a great day with family and friends tomorrow. If each of you nibble just one little something for me while you are there, then I'll give you my calories to make up for it  (Oh if only it worked that way). Have a great day everyone!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Hope everyone has a great day!!! Eat well and enjoy. I won't be doing my Thankgiving dinner until Saturday. My daughters goes to her dad's house every year. But she is home for Christmas so for me its a great trade off. Anyway today is Tony's birthday and we will have our own little party:drinker: :drinker: We are going to have oysters on the half shell steak and lobster and twice baked potatoes and asparagus small spinach salad. And of couse homemade blackberry pie instead of cake. So either way we will be fat and happy!!! I know I 'll pay for it later but oh well. Also a full day of football, His team is playing my team so it should be interesting.......

Have a Great Fun and Safe Day to All:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I guess someone up there has a sense of humor. I came down with the stomach flu about 1:30 this morning. So, DH and the eldest DD have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner - something they've never done before. Oh well...I guess I shouldn't have a gain on Tuesday then. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy the day and the food. I'll just keep sipping my ginger ale. :drinker:

Is everyone but Emmie stuffed like the thanksgiving turkey????? I still am!!! But I do not think I went over on cals today! I wore my HRM and did 1 hour of hard cardio before we ate and after we ate we walked the 1.25 miles back home at a pretty good pace! I really watched portions and it was the only meal I had today!! So hopefully Tueasday's weigh-in will be good! Is this Tuesday our last weigh in or do we have one more after that? Have a nice evening!! Emmie, I hope your feeling better this evening!!!

Susan and Verda - Thanks. I think I'm finally feeling a little bit better this evening. Really sorry I missed out on Thanksgiving though I'm not sorry I missed out on the calories. Good planning Verda - getting in that cardio today.

Glad you are feeling better Emmie!! I didn't eat to poorly yesterday one plate and I sampled everything but not large portions like years ago.

Rhiannon- Glad you stopped by. I know your life is busy but keep up the good work.

    Well ladies.... Ttyl!

    Tamm

LOL.. I forgot to say I did a 5 mile nature trail yesterday morning and the bike for 35 mins. I was trying to counteract. :)

Well, Thanksgiving was an interesting experience. My mom and I spent 2.5 days cooking, and because my stomach is smaller from eating right-sized portions, I got a full (but not overflowing) plate, and could only eat half of it. I had some dessert later on, but couldn't finish all of that either. It was actually a little disappointing. I brought home some healthy leftovers (smoked chicken, roasted turkey, and smoked pork) and some grilled asparagus. I also somehow ended up with a pumpkin roll, but I can work that into my calories, and it makes up just a tiny tiny bit for not being able to eat all of my favorite leftovers for the next week. This sounds crazy, but I may have to make healthy versions of my favorites this week to eat with all of the meat I brought home.

I didn't end up working out on Thursday morning, but I was standing at the stove from Tuesday night to Thursday night, so I'm pretty confident that burned a few calories. And the only sampling I did was to taste two of the dishes to make sure the spices were right, and I ate some of the homemade bread I baked for the stuffing. I'm sure I went over calories in bread, but I'm not upset about it.

I hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving (and I hope you're feeling better, Emmie)!

Ali- Sounds interesting. Glad you enjoyed cooking with your mom. Nothing like family time. :) A healthier lifestyle makes us eat less.

Today I spent the day shopping with my mom and sister Tiff. It was lots of fun. We even had Thai food for lunch and it was delicious. I love Christmas time. I had a blast shopping at Banana Republic on the clearance rack OF COURSE. LOL. I hope everyone is doing well.

    Take care,

    Tamm

LOL We have our oldest son and his three yr. old son and my house is now a disaster and it always seems like laundry, cooking and doing the dishes!! Please calgon take me away!!!!!! It could be worse I guess!! I have done the black friday shopping in what we call the city and no way will I stand in line for over an hour ever again!! I now do alot of shopping on-line and it sure is wonderful! I sure hope "ALL" the other sixers are having a nice week-end, I have not read too many post's from them in the last few day's!! Best wishes!

I'm still here! I did another walking routine tonight, and I'm working hard to keep my sodium low to make up for Thanksgiving. I really do want to be down to 224 by the end of this challenge, and I'm working to make that happen. (If it doesn't, I won't be totally distraught though. I've worked hard, and I'm proud.)
