Feet and leg cramps

I have just started exerciseing for the first time in a LONG time. I have had an injury in the past year , where was not able to move much at all. So I am working out with a trainer 4 xs aweek , and then doing asst exercise the other 3 days at home...or the park. I am taking a multi vitamin, raspberry ketones, echinacia, GNC protein shake , and eating under 1200 calories a day. The past 3 days I have not had a huge appetite, so my food tracker is saying I am putting my body in starvation mode. I have bbeen having really bad leg and feet cramps all day and part of last night... if I try to flex or stretch my calf and foot cramp up immediatly, I am eating plenty of bananas and taking lots of water...anyone have any advice as to what is causing this?
Melissa:))

Best bet is to talk to a doctor...

For me, if I have too much Potassium then I get extreme cramps. I've only come across a few people who are like me where we can't even eat a whole banana otherwise we cramp up really bad.
  • Thanks , I think its ok for now, its not as bad..I am trying to stretch more often ,and if it does not improve I will see my Dr.

Could it be that your calcium intake is deficient? I bet I am not the only one who remembers getting charlie horses when pregnant.
Dr. told me then I needed more calcium because baby was taking so much.
