Knee injury - Can I train upper body while resting knee

Twisted my knee at work this week, got put on crutches, swelling is gone, pain remains.
I have got to the point where I can stand and put weight on leg and bend knee about 1/4.
I myself would like to pump a little blood thru my knee to help heal it, I do not intend to pump weights like crazy,
just do light weights and lots of reps and only seated upper body exercises, nothing that could turn or put weight thru the knee.
Doc says " No "
edit - am bored of doing nothing, and need to do some movement in my body.
