I will go for 8-16 ounces of chocolate milk, or a protein shake. Peanut butter or almond butter on bread or a banana as well if I'm still ravenous.

I typically eat a handful of nuts before my run, and a buncha water or a protein shake after.

I'm still a fairly new runner though and I don't run for longer than 10 minutes at a time with a minute or two of walking in between. That alone makes me want to eat my entire family, so I can only imagine how I'll be once I can hammer out several miles.

I usually run first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, or with just a half a banana or a small granola bar if I wake up hungry. When I'm done, I often have a glass of chocolate milk - I take my kid to school and then eat breakfast when I get back. If it's the weekend or during summer when there's no school, I usually just eat breakfast as soon as I'm ready for it after my run.
