wtf womens jean sizes...

I am 5'6'', 147lbs and VERY bottom heavy. So I was ecstatic today when I went shopping and fit into size 6 and 8 jeans (when I weighed 125-140 in highschool I fit into anywhere from a size 5 to a size 8). I went home, happy that I didn't throw away a few pairs of jeans I had from back then, tried on a pair of size 7 hollister jeans and almost got stuck in them. they had to be pried off of me like the jaws of life after a terrible accident. In conclusion: womens' jean sizes, screw you.

seriously, what is with the inconsistency in pant sizes?

thank you i hate womens clothes sizing i can wear between a 10 and 16 and it makes no sense tome when i was heavier plus sizes seemed more consistant but keep up the good work

Clothing manufacturers like to mess with our heads. I also have several skirts from a few years ago that are the same size that I'm wearing now, and am nowhere near being close enough to fitting into them. They've definitely changed what the sizes are.

I did some plus size modeling back in the day, and they have what they call fit models. They bring in women of all different shapes, and then use their body to make say jeans, in every size. So don't get discouraged, if they make you feel sexy, buy two so you have a spare I say ;)

Not to nit pick, but a size 7 is not a woman's size. It is juniors sizing. Hollister is a juniors store, really. Even numbers are usually womens (2,4,6,8 etc.)

Juniors clothing is cut differently altogether. Pay it no mind.

They were Hollister jeans. I've never fit into those.

ahh I didn't know that about the junior sizing. I have hips wider than the brooklyn bridge so maybe I should give up the dream of fitting back into those jeans lol.
