ok, so for the last two months I have been at war with myself: mon-thurs i'd eat like 800-1000 cals a day, exercise everyday, and then on fri night be so hungry and exhausted i'd binge until monday, when i'd start the cycle again. Needless to say i haven't made much progress. So two weeks ago I decided to throw this useless method out the window, and bought a cheap food journal from B&N (this site is great but i like having something i can carry around in my purse and make changes any time). since then Ive kept my workout schedule the same, but have eaten 1200-1500 cals EVERY DAY, I even went up to 1800 one day after a hard workout, and I've dropped seven and a half pounds! what the heck?! and the best part is i'm never hungry, and i don't feel that weird panicky about-to-binge feeling i was getting from depriving myself. I know this probably sounds like common sense to some people out there, but I've always scoffed at the "eat more, lose more" idea. until now...

If you were only eating 800-1000 cals a day, your body was probably in survival mode. It needs at least 1200 to survive. If you got to eating 1200-1800 a day, your body relaxed & let go of the weight you were retaining.
    For heaven's sake, EAT!
Just make smart choices about what goes in your belly. :)
Congrats on dropping the 7+ pounds!

    Congrats on your loss!!!

Thats awesome that you have found what works for you. I am having a hard time with the weight coming off since I am not finding that middle ground of eat this much and exercise that much. I increase the food I stay the same, I decrease food I stay the same.
I have found the only time I really dropped the weight was when I was eating my 1200 calories and not exercising at all.. but I am sorta a exercise junky now... so I need to find that middle area. I am happy with what I have lost so far but I want to keep going to my goal.

If anyone can offer some help that would be awesome!!
