Skip a workout today to add one tomorrow

Im thinking about skipping todays workout and wake up early on a saturday to workout and still plan to workout later in the evening. Any pros or cons?

    Why not just take today as a "rest day" and then workout as you normally would tomorrow?
    You need a couple rest days a week to give your muscles time to repair themselves.
