New and ready to give it a go!

Hi

I'm new to My Fitness Pal but am ready to give it a go.
I have about 30 kg to drop (about 66lbs) and would like to do it over the next year. Slow and steady is my aim so that I keep it off for good!
I have a mini goal of about 6 kg before the end of this year.
So far I have lost 14.5 kg (32 lbs)
I work out with a trainer once a week - and 4 to 5 other nights I alternate between a bike, treadmill and stair climber at home.

Would appreciate all the help, motivation and tips that people are willing to give and will do the same for anyone in return if I can.

I live in Australia and am a 38 yo female

Welcome to MFP :) I'm a slow and steady-er too :) well done on your loss so far!
  • Hi, i'm new on here too, will add you
  • Hi another Aussie here... I am currently on my second week of Lite n Easy dinners and I think they are fantastic - I eat the 450gm to 550 gm options and drink herbal tea, diet rite cordial & fizzy water at night time to keep hunger at bay. I've lost 6 kgs in 1 week before I signed up to 'myfitnesspal'. I currently weight 111kgs & would like to fit into sz 14 clothing or be around 75 kgs. I'm 45 years old & thought about trying to reach 65 kgs but decided against it because you need to eat a lot less in order to stay that weight and my skin on my face would look very old if I lost all the weight I am carrying - 75 kgs is curvy but not overweight. I'm 5'6 tall & just inquired about joining the gym... Don't think I will become a member until I reach 85 kgs because pushing 111 kgs around sounds like awfully sweaty hard work lol... I am finding the food tracker wonderful on the site but wish they had and Australian site with our food to be more accurate. :) Cheers
