Feeling fed up & need to keep motivated (time of the month)

I've been doing this for 2 weeks and have lost a little weight. I was actually aiming for a slow & steady loss so I am more than happy with that, its easier to achieve so I am not put off, and more likely to stay off.
Its my time of the month now (sorry for tmi) but now I feel bloated and fed up, because I had started to feel better, healthier, less bloated with the changes made in my lifestyle and diet. I did still exercise yesterday, not yet today but hope to later. Its just so much harder when I feel like this.
I know that its a temporary blip really, but does anyone have advice/encouragement to keep me going??
Thanks.

I know the feeling..I go through this every month. I put on water weight ..I feel like I'm starving .. I crave all the junk...and of course I feel too drained to move.I try to think about how I will feel after the workout is over..*proud and accomplished* Even if its getting out and taking a walk.It takes time to break old habits ..I would be lying if I said I didnt give in to the cravings and have some junk food...like today I had a terrible food day but I got a workout in..I would have never done that before. We just have to get through it ..its just for a week ,right?0

I know how you feel. Its my time of the month and I had dominos and cookie dough ice cream last night and then hated myself for it!! I know from past experience it is best to wait and week, avoid the scales and eat small portions of what you crave... Do not binge. I normally only work out once or twice during my time of the month which is normally a week... and I feel better for it! Then again I feel better for it and then lose all motivation to do it again anytime in that week hahah! Just keep your chin up and your cravings under control for the week, trust me you will feel fine once it passes. :flowerforyou:0

I'm totally with you on the frustration right now, because I just hit my 10-lb weight loss mark recently but today I'm feeling fatter than ever because of bloat (and all I've had is coffee so far!).
BUT... one thing that keeps me motivated is knowing this is only temporary, and to try and avoid foods that will make the bloating worse (yes, that means trying with all your might to avoid the junk foods you crave, especially those with high-sodium levels). Exercise is suppose to help relieve some of the bloat.0 -
my daughter swears by pamprin or midol to beat the bloat feeling. You'll feel better in about a week0

Hi all, thank for your kind messages of support. I managed to stay under my calorie goal (by about 14 calories but that's still under), and I actually went out for a light jog today. Feel much better for it, just had to take it a little slower. The sense of achievement is great, and I remind myself that even slow steps still take me closer to my goal!0
