Hey folks, im new to this as up until a few years ago I was pretty athletic... Didnt really appreciate it at the time, a severe bout of depression and 5yrs later I weigh a ton... Im now a large size 14 & im going to war against my body, my aim is to be a tidy sze 10-12

Its not just size im going for its shape... I want my sexy *kitten* back and flat tum
Ive cut out and cut down on most of the junk in my diet and started swimming lessons once a week, kickboxing once a week (soon to be twice a week once my fitness level is up a bit and in the future once im a little fitter take up indoor rock climbing and start horseriding again

Anyone else on the same path? My inlaws seem to think its all about weight and use diet pills and yoyo diets... need constructive support :)

Those diet pills and yo-yo diets only hurt you in the long run. You may get there faster, but you'll just gain it all back if you don't eat healthy.

I've been doing this for 2 months now and have lost 21 pounds. I'm more excited about going from a size 16 to a baggy 14. another week or so and I'll be comfortable in my 12's again.

My biggest problem is working the midnight shift. Sometimes I feel like all I do is work, try to sleep, and take care of the baby. It's going to be harder now that the oldest 5 have started school. I do manage to get a bit of walking in at work each day though.
