Can I get some advice from certified Personal Trainers?

Hey guys! I have thrown the idea of being a personal trainer around for the past few years. Then got pregnant for the second time and had my son (who is now two) so it was pretty much but on the back-burner for awhile. I am seriously thinking about going forward with it now and would love to get the opinions of those of you who already ARE certified Personal Trainers. I would love to know which company you used to get certified through and what you liked / disliked about them. What were the first steps you took AFTER you received your 'title' as Personal Trainer? Do you try to contract work on your own? Do you work in a gym? Are you certified to teach any group classes? I am a Beachbody Coach and a Turbo Fire JUNKIE and was also thinking of taking the training to get my Turbo Kick certification because I know I would love to teach those classes!
The development I live in has a fitness center and people are allowed to bring in their own personal trainers, so I'm thinking if I get licensed I could try to even market myself within my development (it's a HUGE development in a golf course community consisting of 4 major golf courses here in Myrtle Beach, SC) and hope to get my own client base that way, using the fitness center (which is 1/2 mile from my house, so that would be awesome!) I am currently a stay-at-home mom and am NOT looking to do this to try and make a ton of money (although in the future I definitely see a possibility in it!). I truly love fitness/health and helping others and think this would be a great route for me to take. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks so much in advance.

Bump. I also have 2 kids, work a FT database job, and have been thinking about this for years, too. I'm getting a "Group Exercise" certification soon, but the PT route interests me a little more.0
