Good calories on the road

I am a truck driver, looking for good snacks & lunch that will keep in my cooler & don't need cooked. I don't have access to heat anything. Lunchmeat (turkey) has been my normal lunch for quite a while & I'm thinking it isn't helping. Maybe some veggies (other than boring celery & carrots)? Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

i work for yrc freight, i pack a cooler full of, carrots for snacking, hard boiled eggs, cucumbers, a salad for each day i am going to be out. also hummus is good, pickles, its alot of work to pack up before i leave, but its well worth it, i have lost 18 pounds in 6 weeks. fat free ranch dressing is low in calories, you can also dip carrots and other vegetables in it. i try to eat a little something every 2 hours, and also drink lots of water, about 10 cups a day, ya, you gotta stop and pee all the time, but its worth it

    - soup in a thermos (my fave is soup with barley and beans and veggies, very filling!)
    - all sorts of veggies (carrots and celery are great but there are tons of other veggies out there! broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, zucchini)
    - all sorts of fruits (bananas, apples, peaches, grapes, melons ... there are soo many delicious fruits!)
    - nuts! (almonds are my favourite nut. they are filling and healthy in small amounts. I try not to have more than 10-20 almonds at a time, depending on what my calories are at for the day. but a good snack)
    - salad with dressing if you can keep the dressing in the cooler for that long. I use "low calorie zesty Italian dressing" - which is sooo low calorie! anyway, I just put it on romaine lettuce (mixed with spinach is best but I don't eat spinach enough so it always goes bad). add in some veggies if you want (cauliflower and broccoli are ideal). also add in some tomatoes/cherry tomatoes, fake bacon bits (or real ... although since I'm veg, I won't promote that lol)
Those are the ideas I have for now :)
  • Tyvm for all the suggestions. Just trying to get away from the sandwiches & replace it with healthier options.
