Having trouble eating enough

Now that I've restarted MFP again, I find it hard to reach my goal of 1200 calories a day. I don't think I'm eating any more than I was before in terms of the amount of food, but I've cut out chocolate bars and chips, so I think that's why I have a calorie deficit. I know I should eat more, but I'm just not hungry. Also, I've been feeling a little depressed and stressed lately, which usually leads to loss of appetite.

I'm doing the 30DS, and I'm losing weight (very, very slowly). I want to lose 15-20 pounds (I'm 5'1" and weighed 121.4 as of this morning).

I guess I'm just worried that I'm damaging my body by not eating enough and focusing on losing weight instead of being healthy... :frown:

Any advice/support would be greatly appreciated!

Me too. Cut out the high cal foods I didn't miss. Eat reasonable portion sizes but don't usually have seconds. Lots of veggies. Made some healthy substitutions. Eat a bit of ice cream every night with nuts and Greek yoghurt.

I only walk 45 minutes a day. And yes, I net under on calories by 1000-2000 calories a week.

I don't know, it is healthy, I'm not hungry, I've been doing it for four months, and I'm still losing weight at around a pound a week. I try to imagine going from this to maintenance and I can't really think of anything I'm not doing now that I want to do when I hit my weight goals. Well, maybe a pastry now and then :)

Only down side is that if I don't eat there isn't a lot of 'bounce' in my system. So when it's lunch time I absolutely need to eat or I get a headache. If I do a lot of yard work or go hiking it is very important I eat more. And I'm at the opposite side of the height scale - I'm over 5'10"..

So I guess I'm going to trust my body to tell me if I'm hungry.
