Pushing Through

I have decided to go for my bike ride in the morning; mainly because I just told my workout buddy that now is the time to push through, to continue to exercise. Eating well is a good step, but without good exercising habits to go with it our bodies will develop a set point and hover around the same weight until we do something about it. If we can walk 3 miles but only walk 2 for our exercise, we are cheating ourselves. If we can walk 3 then we need to push for 3 and a half, and then 4. If we can bike 8 then we need to strive for 9. I am not forgetting rest days and I am not advocating pushing ourselves to injury. I am saying that no matter how hard we work our natural tendency is toward what is easy. When we realize that it's become "easy" because we are fighting the same 10 lbs or that our workouts are no longer challenging, let's remember to push through to the next level.
