So I just came home from college for the holidays and have been bingeing like crazy on all the food laying around which I tend to do. So tonight I decided I would do something crazy and log ALL of the food that I ate and the drinks. (I've been toying around here for awhile and really need to buckle down) I won't even divulge how many calories I ate. It's disgusting and I will gain 20 lbs in 5 weeks if I continue eating like this. Boy did that give me a reality slap. So if anyone else is having motivation problems do this!
On the plus side... I did drink all of my water today.
Just thought I'd share in case anyone else was having trouble getting started or, like me, back on the wagon.

that's an excellent point. The way I see it, to use myfitnesspal you don't necessarily have to commit to losing weight. just commit to logging everything that you eat. at least that way you know WHY you are gaining weight and you won't be so shocked when you finally step on the scale.
so even on the days when i know i'm going to go over because it's thanksgiving or something, i still log everything. knowledge is the key to true change.0 -
You're young. Way to start keeping track! I was always dieting in my youth...it has taken me a long time to realize that you have to stop dieting and make life changes! Good luck to you!0

I decided on Sunday to give myself a "cheat day", but then Monday morning decided that the only person I was cheating was myself by not at least acknowledging what I was putting into my body. So I logged it in. Didn't do as bad as I thought, but I saw where I could have made better choices or even smaller portions and still had my "cheat day". It was a real eye opener. I'm a grazer, so this week I have decided to log EVERY SINGLE BITE. Now I know why cows weigh so much if they are grazing all day. So great job on the eye opener. Enjoy your time home!0
