Hi all!

A friend sent me this link today, and I thought it would be good to share with the community! Basically it just explains what the codes are used for on the little stickers on fruits and vegetables:

4 digit code = Conventionally grown
5 digit (9XXXX) = Organically grown
5 digit (8XXXX) = GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) -- AVOID!!!

Upon doing a little more searching, the graphic was created based on info found at this website: http://plucodes.com/

That website is for the International Federation for Produce Standards, so I think that it would count for the UK, but I don't see anything that specifically states that.

Thank you! (I just had to jump up and check my fruit and veggies right now- no GMO's)
