For many of you who I have interacted with on there, know that I ran my very first 5K today. It was mucky and gross and raining outside but that wasn't going to stop me. I have been training on 2 miles runs for a few weeks and so today was the day when I got a change to lay it all out on the field. My time:
29:01!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't really running for a time I was running to finish, but I just kept my pace, ppl were passing me left and right but I just stayed at my pace and ran my race. That was the advice everyone gave me and I couldn't be happier with the results. Highest in my sex/age group 25-29. I get very emotional at the finish line because I have finally accomplished something I never thought I could at 310 lbs.
YES IT WAS A VERY EMOTIONAL FINISH LINE!!!
So I want to give a HUGE shout out to my friends on MFP, they said the most amazing things to me yesterday to get me prepped for the race. I wanted to stop a few times but their kind words kept me going.
I also want to shout out my former self for getting of the couch and starting this process of being healthy. If it wasn't for his determination I wouldn't be here today.
I love you guys!!! Thank You soooo much for the continued support!!!
I am not sure where the official results are being put up but here are some photos from the race.
