30DS and Strength Training

I've been doing 30DS. I'm on level 3 but haven't done it really this week because I've just started adding strength. I was planning on finishing 30DS and then alternating it with Zumba when I get bored. My plan right now is to do 30DS or Zumba on MON, WED and FRI, and strength on TUES, THURS, and SAT. My question is: since 30DS only has a MILD strength component, does it count as a rest from strength? I have read that it is important to rest your muscles in between strength workouts. Or should I just drop the 30DS?
