Need some buddies! I'm starting out at 160 and I'm 5'7", and all I really want is a flat tummy and modest hip bone. I have been trying to diet for ages, with no success, and I think going public might do me some good. I would really like to have some dieting buddies in the same situation and similar body type to help me keep on track. So add me if you'd like .

Maybe you weren't sure of the proper use of the word "thinspo"
Thinspo is a abbrievation for Thinspiration.
Thinspiration is two words put together to create a simular but different meaning. Thin and inspiration.
Thinspo is used by people suffering from eating disorders to help keep them inspired. (urban dictionary)
thinspo usually refers to a brand of inspiration used by mostly young girls to inspire themselves to continue dangerous behavior related to eating disorders.

I know full well what thinspo means, and it is possible to use it in a healthy manner. I know that it is popular in the pro-ana community but the two do not inherently go hand-in-hand. There are some dramatic thinspo images with near-skeletal girls, but healthy thinspo does exist. It is mostly just a practice of idealizing your goal body image to motivate you and drive yourself away from unhealthy behaviors. Also, I did read the posting terms and this is why I explicitly stated "not pro-ana" in my original post, but that seems to have been removed... and it won't let me edit the original post.
Tldr: thanks, but I am being careful to keep my intentions clear.0 -
I'm glad someone else looks to thinspo as a healthy means of motivation instead of assuming eveyone who looks at it is starving themselves.0
