Some of you may remember that I made a really cool pumpkin shaped cake for Halloween. Well, that inspired me, and I decided to make a turkey cake. Here it is: (one is with the flash, and one is without- I don't really like either- wish there was a setting somewhere in between! )

Great cake, but what are the "feathers" made from? Just curious.

LOL, he's cute. What did you use to flock him and do his tail feathers with?
  • That is so adorable. You did a great job on it.

His "feathers" are shaved coconut dyed brown

His feathers are frosted sugar cookies, and I "glued" everything together with frosting. I consider it "cheating" if I use ANYTHING that's not edible- toothpicks, etc.

Thanks for all the compliments. I'm already planning my Christmas snowman cake
