Not sore with weightlifting- right or wrong?

DH and I have been doing Stronglifts for 2 weeks (so 6 sessions). At first the weights seemed pretty easy, but this week have been getting harder for me to finish the whole set. In fact, the last session I couldn't finish the last 2 sets of overhead lifts, and squats and rows were a struggle but I finished. Still, the next day neither of us has sore muscles. In the past, I've done other weightlifting routines and always been super sore the next day or 2. Is this normal with this program or am I doing something wrong? Not that I'm complaining, I just find it strange!

We do go walk after lifting and have our protein shakes but I would think at least my arms would be sore.

I rarely get sore now and I have been lifting for more than a year. In fact I am happy when I got DOMS from time to time. It does not mean that you are not working hard enough....it just mean that you can walk normally and unhook your bra by yourself most of the time

Soreness is not a sign of a good workout, plus your body starts to get used to certain exercises in certain rep ranges over time. If you were to change the movements and do 10-12 reps instead of the 5x5 you would be sore the next day without a doubt.

As long as your are making progression with the lifts this is all that matters.
