Mosley (as shown on last episode of above series) decided to do the 5:2 fasting plan for 5 weeks. He ate "5 days normal eating, 2 days fasting each week." He had 600 calories on fasting days. His 5:2 plan yielded dramatic improvements on his glucose, cholesterol, and IGF-1 (cancer indicator). He was borderline diabetic and after 5 weeks glucose was normal range. His cholesterol and IGF-1 levels improved around 50%.
