I've found the hardest step is the one into my running shoes, and the second hardest is the one out the door. But if I can make myself take those two little steps, the rest is kind of fun.

Hey I know how that feels. I believe I have Fibromyalgia but my doc seems to think otherwise but we're in the process of figuring it out. I have good days and very bad days those bad days I have to fight to get into the gym it's horrible but I do. Afterwords I feel much better it's like what's causing my problems tends to go away on workout days but comes back on my rest days.

I have bad knot type pain in several spots in my back and right hip/knee pain heel pain at times and headaches not to mention ibs lol. I feel like this is too much to have at my age 32 but what can I do lol. I am living a much healthier life style and I love it if only the pain would go away forever I would be much happier.

Anyways sorry for the long post, but stick to it you'll get your goals with time and it will be worth it.

I hear ya. The best time for me to get on the treadmill is in the morning before work....... even when I lay everything out to do it, I just can't seem to get out of bed early enough!!!! ACK! If I can't get it done then, it's impossible the rest of the day with a FT job and then a toddler and husband when I get home............ I really really SUPER really need to motivate myself for that part!

100% with you - I enjoy working out when I do it - I just have a million excuses for not doing it. Like PaleoRDH, the morning would be the best time, but dragging myself out of bed is the worst! I don't like the gym because I don't want to sweat and jiggle in front of other people... my living room isn't large enough... I'm afraid the noise in the morning will wake up the family... on and on and on! It's time to get rid of the negativity and just go for it!

I'm so sorry about your pain. I'm just trying to remind myself that the pain from moving is nothing compared to the pain in my whole body from inactivity. Hope you are doing better soon

I'm in the same boat - toddler and a 13-year old, but no husband. It's hard and I applaud you for recognizing that early AM might work best for you. I've decided that if I can get off to a good start now, I will never again have any excuse to not be in shape. That's because in addition to the kids, I'm moving, closing a business, looking for a job, and just finalized my adoption of the toddler. It would be so easy to say it's too stressful now, but I'm retraining my brain to think of it as "Think of the example you are setting for your 13-year old daughter, about prioritizing health," and "I need to be strong and focused now, not in a starch and inactivity coma." Find what works for YOU and keep at it, and get encouragement from wherever you can!

I love getting my workouts over in the morning. If I wait until later, there is so much on my mind and so many distractions to break my focus. I the morning my mind is empty

This last week I make it top priority in the morning to do my workout, then by later in the week it became habit to wake up and workout!
