Ok, so I have a Pepsi addiction. I recognize it now because when I crave it and don't get it I get cranky and irritable. Those of you who have overcome this, what are some of the tools you used and what did you find to be suitable replacements?

I used to be addicted to cherry cola and irn bru so I know what your going through. I found a drink that I enjoyed (Strawberry Ribena) and started off by drinking this. It's quite high in calories so I then moved to orange squash and I drink that all the time. I haven't has fizzy juice since I started MFP over 7 weeks ago,. You can do it and you will feel a lot better for it. :) Good luck.

I was here too. A two liter of coca cola every day. I just stopped...bit the bullet and stopped. It was a painful withdrawel.

    switch to diet.

i used to drink dr pepper by the gallon. couldnt tell you the last time i had one was, now. i started by alternating soda with a (big!) cup of water. Then 1 soda per 2 waters. then all water except for a soda in the morning after my coffee and with dinner, then just the morning soda, then all water.

putting lemon or fruit in the water helps too, though I rarely do that anymore.

Sounds like its the caffeine you're addicted to. Switch to the diet caffeine free stuff, after a few days till be just as satisfying. Then switch to soda water with a few drops of lemon juice. Then stop drinking it all together! Worked for me :)

69 days soda free for me! I have an app on my phone that counts the days since and that motivates me.

I switched to diet years ago. It took me about a week to get used to the taste. Now, I don'te like the taste of regular soda.
