this is a website that lists and scores all different types of alcohol and grades them on the percentage of alcohol vs the calories. interesting info...

  • Thanks you! I'm a social drinker and when I go out, it's hard to know how high or low the calories are in something alcoholic. Then when I get home and log in what I've consumed, sometimes I'm in shock. :noway:
    This is helpful. :)
  • This will come in handy. Thanks. :D

if you like to get drunk, it's almost better to drink less of a higher percentage liquor than more of a low calorie, low alchohol percentage drink. especially if you like to use a mixer other than soda water.

youll have to drink twice as much of the low calorie stuff. however, if you are on a reduced calorie diet like I am, you probably wont need more than one or two drinks to get tipsy.

i am a social drinker only, i drink specifically to get tipsy and provide a little social lubricant so one strong drink every hour or two is good for me on a night out!

All my beer choices were c's or c-. My Patron got an A+. I didn't check the red wines.

Liquor (vodka or gin are best) + club soda + twist of lime + lots of ice = low calorie, refreshing, and super tasty!

What about those of us who use alcohol for pain management since no prescription works as effectively or with as few side effects? :-P
  • You know, I generally like to keep track of calories in the drinks I have, but there are those few nights when you just have to let it go, or your calorie count will be one more thing you regret in the morning haha

i'm a great drunk. i can hold the room when i'm drunk. people have told me i am one of the most charming people they have ever met (when im drunk). Most of the times people don't even know i've been drinking, i just seem nicer.

when i am in a large social situation, i can be a bit guarded without a cocktail in me. I'm working on changing that. but in the meantime I LOVE DRINKING. alcohol is fun (if you are a good drunk)

    :)

They say drinking a glass of red wine a day is good for the heart and your health. I average about a bottle and half a day.....am I overdoing it or this ok?

i don't see anything wrong with the OP suggesting this site for reference.... i barely drink...and when i do, it's usually socially. so i actually appreciate the tips this link offers!
