Hello. I'm new to this site and I am a thyroid cancer survivor, almost 5 years. Before and after surgery I put on almost 80 pounds and have managed to lose 40 pounds of it. Still working on losing more weight. My question is, are there any other thyroid cancer survivors with a similar situation, and if so, what is your story? Thanks:smile:

  • Hi,
I am not a thyroid cancer survivor, but...I do have hypothyroidism and it is causing me to gain weight very fast, and it is very hard to get it off. I understand what you are going through. Congrats on being a survivor.

I also do not have thyroid cancer, but was just recently told that I have high thyroid levels and it has been causing me to gain weight like crazy. I am going back to the doctor in February to re-test my blood, and the doctor says I'll likely go on medication then. So, my experience hasn't been as life-altering as yours, but still life-changing nonetheless. Thanks for sharing your story., and best of luck to you :flowerforyou:
