I never know which time is better. I normally do eat before because I find it gives me more energy but for weight or fat loss, is it better to exercise before or after?

I generally eat after i exercise. Usually after a cool down and slowly drinking some water.0

I eat before and after, high carb before, high protein after.0

I do both, mainly because I have to, I eat small amount then have my work out, then a couple of hours later eat again. But if you can do an intense workout with a gut full of food, I’d say go for it. Me I’d either hurl, or have a poor work out and then hurl0

If you haven't eaten for a couple of hours it is good to give your body a few carb kcals - think of them as firelighters, they start you off. I usually drink 50:50 juice and water just as before I start.
After a protein focussed snack/meal to aid muscle repair and growth, most effective when eaten within an hour of exercise - and don't think that's just for strength workouts, aerobic work needs muscle repair too. (sorry if that is really patronising, my students don't seem to get that).0
