Help - How many calories?

Hi
I currently do 3 x 41 min spartacus workout which I think is about 400-450kcal,
the other days 3 x 45 mins stationary cycling 30 secs at 15kph (slow) and then 30 secs (fast) at 30kph - 10 mins with 2 mins in between for recovery... It's hard work and I sweat buckets.
I think this is about 400kcal - I have it on resistance 5/8... However the cycle machine doesn't seem to notice the reactance and say I have burnt 190 kcal!!!! MFP puts 40 mins of light stationary cycling at 400... I am certainly not doing light!
My problem is I have just set my calories to 1800 a day and plan to eat back what I burn (400 per Spartacus and per cycling) any ideas if this is right!?
Does anyone know which is more likely

You should be wearing an HRM for more accurate caloric burns.... that is the only way you will get a better picture.0

I agree with cramernh. The HRM will give you a more accurate picture of your calorie burn rate. Online tables are averages for a wide variety of exercise abilities and may not reflect your work load.0

I have considered it, but trying not to spend the money - i guess as long as I am not too far out!?0

I find my HRM gives me a much better picture than what the treadmills 'claim' for a caloric burn. A 15min 3.2mph, 10.0 incline per the machine says 200 calories burned and an average HR of 139, but my HRM calculated 225 calories burned and an average heart rate of 144....0 -

Its a small investment for a small tool to help you obtain more accurate results.
I use the Polar FT4 pack: watch with chest strap. I only spent $70.00 w/free shipping.. thats a cheap deal.0 -

Try this site - Activity Calculator:- http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_burn.php
you can put in your age and weight and it gives you an estimate of much you burn doing different activities.0 -

You super star ;-)
My 45 mins cycling breaks down as (according to the website):
3 x 7 mins moderate = 247
3 x 7 min light = 194
Total = 441 (not too far off of MFP)
I might get a heart rate monitor as will start Insanity soon... But until then just needed a rough there or a outs estimate - thank you!!0
