chicken breast and salad

Is it ok to have chicken breast and salad for dinner or should I have something else with it? Also how much chicken breast should I have?

Tonight I had
Chicken breast ( wrapped in foil cooked in the oven) 140grams
1 hard boiled egg
mushrooms ( wrapped in foil cooked in the oven) 37 grams

Salad - Tomato 40g, cucumber 50g, lettuce 50g, cheese 5g, raw carrot 80g.
White vinegar as salad dressing.

Is that an ok meal ?

Ok in what way?! It is slightly unclear what you are asking.....
Did you enjoy eating it? That to me is usually a good barometer. If you did, then yes, it is an ok meal!

It depends if it was tasty or not. :)

I probably would have added a serving of carbs, but if you are trying to keep those low for whatever reason, this looks like a very good meal. You might want to look into learning how to prepare your own salad dressing so that vinegar doesn't get dull (it's actually pretty easy to make).

Why would anyone think that is not a meal?

Damn, I actually have this as my mid-morning meal planned for today!
  • Sounds like a yummy, healthy meal to me :)

Sorry to be unclear mainly just asking if that is nutritionally ok and if it's enough? I want to eat healthy but I don't want to starve my body.
I do enjoy eating it and I do like vinegar so thats not a problem.

Only you can tell if it is enough. If you enjoyed eating it, felt satisfied when you finished eating it and were not hungry again 2 hrs later then probably yes, it was enough!

How many calorie sis that? It's hard to say if it is enough or too much without knowing how much you ate threwout the day. Sounds good to me but you did not give enough information.

Honestly speaking here, you and I are very much alike. I will bask in the glory of all that is rabbit food first thing in the morning. I love a big salad, fresh roasted chicken (garlic and herb seasoned), I make my own salad dressings in many situations.

And no.. you dont need to add any carbs to it (Sorry I disagree Bathsheba) - she has plenty of carbohydrates found in the fresh vegetables right there already - its perfectly balanced.

If you wanted to have leftovers from last night's dinner, for breakfast the next day, its perfectly fine. My husband and I do that alot actually.
