Night time sweet tooth

I need help controlling myself with night time snacking. I do so good all through the day and then at like 8:00 at night I'm overwhelmed by the urge to eat everything in sight particularly anything sweet and sugary. I don't know what triggers it but I'm wondering if there are things I can try to do to minimize the damage that undoes my entire day. Or something I can find to distract me from thoughts of cupcakes and candybars. My willpower is strong thru the day but after 8 it's gone completely. I blew my entire day last night eating 15 mini airheads candy and handfuls of goldfish crackers. AND I STILL WANTED MORE! So if anybody has any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Yoplait has alot of yummy flavors that help my sweet tooth or you could brush your teeth before it kicks in.0

If you've gotten in your calories for the day, brush and floss your teeth and then chew some sugarless gum. If you've saved some calories, have a square or two of dark chocolate to satisfy the sweet tooth.0

plan a nighttime snack into your daily calories but make it one that won't blow your day, like a no sugar fudgicle or pudding. if you plan for it then you won't feel deprived or guilty I like hot chocolate at night its my treat for a day well done!0

Are you eating enough throughout the day? When I have a nice, big breakfast (about 300 calories), I don't graze all afternoon and evening. When I don't eat enough earlier in the day, I just eat from lunch until bedtime. If that's not it, try something like a cup of frozen grapes. You have to eat them pretty slowly -- they're like mini popsicles. You could also sip something like a cup of tea or coffee. Or get a hobby that isn't compatible with eating, like knitting or crocheting. Try a bunch of things until something works. Good luck!0

Toss the crap and replace it with strawberries. Cold ones. Mmmm. Makre sur eyou eat enough fiber and protein to fill you up beforehand, and after that, there's no magic solution, just a lil' bit o' willpower!0

I like Jello Pudding Pops. They are 90 calories so you will need to save those for the evening but they cure my sweet tooth every time.0

I have the same problem you have. I try to just have my coffee with cream and sugar to satisfy my after dinner sweet tooth. But if that doesn't work and i have some calories left over for the day, I'll have some chocolate chips. A 1/4 cup is 200 calories & i can usually only eat about half of that amount. Its good cause its not gone in one bite like a mini candy bar. I don't think you should do it every night, but once and a while won't kill ya.0
