Do I have this right?

Ok, so I am hoping I have this right. I just got done doing the elliptical and treadmill. I wore my fitbit and my HRM. When I entered my exercise into MFP I put down the times I exercised so when my fitibit syncs in, it will automatically adjust so that it doesn't count my steps and exercise at the same time for calorie burn....right??? I hope I am saying that right. i just don't want to double dip my calories, but I want to get credit on fitbit.com for the steps I have taken. Btw that is the only thing I put into fitbit.com. I log all my food and stuff into MFP.
